Annual Theatresports Competition

Saturday night’s Theatresports Compeition was an absolute hit, with energy, creativity and laughter filling the room from start to finish. The Drama Department couldn’t be prouder – every team brought their A-game, thinking on their feet and delivering hilarious, clever performances that had the audience roaring with laughter and cheer! The vibe was fantastic all round, with a real sense of camaraderie, confidence and joy on display.
A big congratulations to our winning teams: the Senior champions, Improfrysers, who impressed with their quick wit and seamless teamwork, and the Junior winners, Miss McDonald’s Messed Up Zoo! who had everyone in stitches!

Congratulations to Alexander Reed and Yvie Marjoram for receiving the trophies for most outstanding comedy moment! Who could forget Yvie’s French Mrs Clause and Alex’s hilarious change game antics!
A huge thank you to our Redlands families for coming along, supporting so enthusiastically, and helping create such a warm and vibrant atmosphere!
Congratulations to everyone who participated! Simply outstanding!

Shakespeare Under the Stars

Last night saw our third annual Shakespeare Under the Stars performance by nearly 40 of our Year 10 Drama students. This year, duos and trios brought a rich variety of Shakespearean scenes to life, showcasing moments of comedy, conflict and connection from across the canon. Scenes were taken from: Much Ado About Nothing, The Taming of the Shrew, The Comedy of Errors, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Winter’s Tale, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Henry IV Part I, All’s Well That Ends Well, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Henry V and Coriolanus.

Thank you to the students for their performances and to everyone who supported the event, particularly Lincoln Gidney, who once again led the whole process with ease and aplomb – and to the weather, for being delightful once again.
