Redlands Melbourne Cup Luncheon

Frock up and join us by Sydney Harbour for the Redlands Melbourne Cup Luncheon, a sparkling afternoon of good food, friendship and race day fun.

This much-loved community event will bring together parents and friends of Redlands for a relaxed and joyful day by the water, while supporting the Redlands Scholarship Fund and helping open doors for future Redlands students through the gift of education.

Guests can look forward to a gourmet three-course luncheon, premium wines, live entertainment and plenty of spring carnival moments.

And for a little Redlands history, Melbourne Cup excitement is certainly not new to our School. In 1929, the 6B girls apparently came very close to running a class sweep, only to abandon the idea because they could not bear the thought of disappointing their beloved Miss Roseby, affectionately known as “Bud”. One student later recalled that it would have been “too dreadful” if Miss Roseby had discovered such “disappointing depravity”.

Nearly a century later, we like to think “Bud” would approve of our Melbourne Cup Luncheon, a joyful gathering of community, friendship and generosity in support of future Redlands students. Funds raised through the raffle will support the Redlands Scholarship Endowment.
