Year 8
Teen Mental Health First Aid
This week, our Year 8 students participated in the first of three Teen Mental Health First Aid sessions. The program is designed to equip young people with the knowledge and confidence to support their peers while also developing a better understanding of mental health and wellbeing.
The first session focused on introducing students to the purpose of Mental Health First Aid, exploring the difference between normal emotional experiences and mental health problems, and discussing how they can seek help or support others when needed. Students engaged thoughtfully with the content, and we look forward to continuing these important conversations over the coming weeks.

Icy Pole Day!
We are incredibly proud of the way our Year 8 students have approached this term, particularly the busy assessment period they navigated last week. Students have shown resilience, organisation, and a strong commitment to their learning while balancing the many demands of school life.
To recognise their efforts, all Year 8 students enjoyed a Zooper Dooper this morning. The warmer weather made it the perfect occasion to take a moment, celebrate their hard work, and enjoy some time together as a cohort.

Moonbah Term Preferences
Thank you to all families for your flexibility, patience, and understanding as we continue coordinating Moonbah term preferences for next year. As mentioned last week, our preference is always to work closely with families wherever possible when considering allocations.
At this stage, we still need to make a small number of adjustments to ensure the program is balanced and provides a positive experience for all students. Over the coming weeks, we will be speaking with some students and families where changes may be required. We appreciate your ongoing support and partnership as we work through this process and look forward to providing further updates soon.
