The day included collaborative challenges that encouraged students to use their strengths in creative ways. By focusing on skills rather than specific jobs, we are helping our students build confidence and adaptability for any career path they choose. Shout Outs

A huge shout out to Cara Ryan who is starring in Billy Elliot the Musical over the next few weeks. What a fantastic achievement. Cara says ‘I have loved every minute of rehearsing to play Debbie Wilkinson in SYMTs production of Billy Elliot. I have learned to speak in a Geordie accent and get to do different dance styles which has been so much fun. I love how Debbie is a bit bossy with Billy but really deep down does want to support him with his ballet dreams. There are so many special moments in this show and it has been an amazing opportunity. I’m so excited for people to see it in April’.

Well done to Annalise Beatty who competed in the first round of the Rostrum Voice of Youth Public Speaking Competition, held at Ascham last week. All students had prepared 6-8 minutes speeches about topics of interest and were a great support to each other. Expertly assisted by Year 12 Round Square Captain Sophie Yu, students were proud of Annalise progressing through to the next round of the Junior division.
